Stone Oven Wholesale Bakery Highlight
Every other week during our CSA pick up at our North Royalton shop, we sell Stone Oven Wholesale Bakery bread…
People love it, and we usually sell out before the end of the day (especially the Asiago bread).
Stone Oven Wholesale Bakery (SOWB) was founded as a spin-off from the popular east-side Stone Oven Bakery Cafes.
James and Estra Grant, Owners of Stone Oven Wholesale Bakery
In 2019, Estra and James Grant purchased the wholesale side of the business and expanded the customer base… which includes fine dining restaurants, local grocery stores, cafes, and sandwich shops all over metro Cleveland, as well as a few locations in Columbus.
SOWB specializes in Artisan bread which is mixed, folded, shaped, and baked by human hands — not machines. Stone Oven’s bakers and mixers take pride in their craft and all bread is made from simple, familiar ingredients: flour, salt, yeast, water, honey, whole grains, etc.
SOWB uses traditional preferments such as biga, levain, and their very own authentic Cleveland sourdough starter. By allowing the dough many hours to ferment, it ensures that the bread has time to develop a deeper flavor and a crispy golden brown crust. All these factors contribute to the delicious Stone Oven Wholesale Bakery bread that you get at Grace Brothers.
